Overview of Rental Program:
Whether you’re new to the Matterport ecosystem or you’re an established Matterport Service Provider, our goal is to make it very easy to rent Pro3 and Pro2 cameras and accessories. If you’re new to Matterport, we offer complete, turn-key rental packages and direct support. If you’re already a Matterport customer, we can quickly supply additional cameras to scale up your capabilities for large projects.Here’s how our rental program works:
- Our rental program is currently available in the US and Canada. Canadian prices are higher due to additional shipping times and costs. Please complete a rental application to get a quote for Canadian rentals.
- Decide which camera and kit configuration is best for your needs (rental packages info). Feel free to call or email us if you need assistance in deciding what equipment package would be best for your needs.
- Decide what day you’d like to receive your camera and how long you will need it
- Fill out our simple online rental agreement and choose your insurance option
- We’ll review your rental application and, once approved, we’ll email you an invoice for your initial rental period
- Pay the online invoice and we’ll ship your camera kit that same day or on the date that will coincide with when you need it (we schedule delivery dates based on UPS published delivery times - actual delivery date may vary due to circumstances beyond our control)
- Your charged rental period will start the day after the camera is delivered to you and will end the day before you drop it at any UPS store or UPS drop-off point (the return shipping label will be sent along with your rental camera).

We offer two kit configurations for each of the cameras we rent (Pro3 & Pro2). An Essentials Kit for those who have a tripod and capture device, and a Complete Kit for those who might be new to Matterport.

Rental Periods:
Rental days are calculated starting from the day after the camera is delivered to you and ending the day before you ship the camera back to us. We do not count Sundays. For example, if you rented a camera for 3 days and it was delivered to you on a Thursday, your 1st charged rental day would be Friday, the 2nd rental would be Saturday and the 3rd rental day would be Monday. You would need to drop the camera off at any UPS store or UPS drop-off point on that Tuesday (the label would need to be scanned in on Tuesday). Your return shipping label will be sent to you, inside your rental kit.

Insurance
We require that all rental customers choose one of the following options for insurance coverage for the equipment they are renting:
Option 1
We offer a policy that you can purchase from MatterFix that will cover accidental damage. The costs and details are as follows:
Cost: $50 for a Pro3 (or $25 for a Pro2) per individual rental contract, no matter how many days that period is.
Deductible: You will be responsible for the first $300 damage on a Pro3 (or for the first $100 damage on a Pro2), in the event of any accidental damage incident.
Covers: This policy covers accidental damage incidents. IT DOES NOT cover loss or theft. In the event of loss or theft, you will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the equipment.
Option 2
You have commercial/business insurance with an “Inland Marine” option in place
And you add MatterFix.io as a named insured with coverage amounts of:
$3000 for a Pro3 camera
$1000 for Pro2 camera
And you provide us with a valid certificate of insurance per the above.
